A Neuron Is a Line
Draw a neuron as a boundary in space, and say what the weights and the bias do to that boundary.
Take a neuron with two inputs. Any pair of numbers is a point you can mark on paper. For some of those points the neuron fires. For the rest it stays quiet. So color the paper: orange where it fires, gray where it does not. The shape of that coloring is the thing to understand.
