Doing It Twice
Combine two moves into one matrix, and say why a stack of them needs a bend.
Stretch the plane, then spin it. The result is a stretched, spun plane. But you could have got there in one go. Some single matrix does both at once, and there is always one. Finding it is called multiplying the two matrices. Two moves in a row are one move.
